Needles mother took a nasty fall today.

Today while returning from the local supermarket, Needles 89 year old mother
tried to carry in two heavy plastic bags of dog food. She misjudged the
weight of those two bags and slipped and fell down badly on her back porch.
She cut her face over her right eye and really did a number on her right
hand and arm. As she is on blood thinners, when she started to bleed, she
did so with a vengeance. Luckily her next door neighbor heard her call for
help and rushed over to assist her. When she got there she found mother
(in-law) prone on the back porch with mother (in-laws) small pet dog licking
up all the blood with a gusto that had to be seen to be believed. After the
Para medics were called and mother (in-law) was taken to the local hospital
for stitches to be put in her forehead, she was later released and his now
back home. It was a nasty fright to both needles and her brother who lives a
little closer, but what can you do with a fiercely independently minded 89
year old female ? After Cur cleaned up what blood was spilled, with the help
of mother (in-laws) dog and needles cleaned up the blood soaked jacket that
mother (in-law) had been wearing, needles brother and his wife went to the
hospital with mother (in-law). both expressed concerns about her going home
so soon, but then she is one truly stubborn women, perhaps only curs mother
is more stubborn but not by much.Believe it or not, but Needles mother
shares the very exact birthday as the late JFK.

I pray she gst better very soon and lets someone help here out with that dog
food from now on!

brother. Tomorrow we might have to decided just who gets to play host to
mother in law or mother, will it be us or Needles brother ? Only for a short
time, if only because they both worry about her so much and feel that a
short holiday away from home might do her some good. That way she will not
think to much about what nearly happened, she was only inches away from
falling through the sliding glass door on her back porch. We don't mind
taking care of her small dog "Natasha Czarina of the Rockies" or tasha for
short.Mother in law still drives, but only in day light and good weather, if
she needs a ride she usually calls Needles.

what is it with everyone suffering such debilitating falls?
Same thing basically here with a couple of folks.

It is bad on the older folk though. Hope she gets better
