This ritual invokes Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel. It is used
mainly to gain insight and protection for yourself, people you know, and
for all of humanity.

I like to stand while doing this ritual, but you can sit down in a
straight-backed chair, if you prefer. Face east. Close your eyes and take
three or four deep breaths. Visualize yourself surrounded by a pure white
light of protection.

When you feel ready, invoke Michael, the archangel of the south. He
stands by your right-hand side. You do this by saying the following words
out loud:

“I now invoke the mighty and powerful Archangel Michael to stand at my
right-hand side. Please grant me the strength, courage, integrity, and
protection I need to fulfill my purpose in this incarnation. Please use
your sword to cut away any doubts and negativity. Surround me with your
protection, so that I may always work on the side of good. Thank you.”

Pause for thirty seconds. Become aware of Michael standing beside you,
and be alert for any insights or words that he may offer. When you feel
ready, invoke Uriel to stand at your left-hand side. Use the following,
or similar, words:

“I now invoke the mighty and powerful Archangel Uriel to stand on my
left-hand side. Please release all my tensions, worries, and
insecurities. Grant me tranquility and peace of mind. Help me to serve
others, and to give and receive generously. Thank you.”

Pause again for thirty seconds, and see if Uriel has a message for you.
You will sense Uriel standing to your left. Smiling, acknowledge his
presence, and remain alert for any wisdom or advice that he might offer.
When you feel ready, invoke Raphael to stand in front of you.

“I now invoke the mighty and powerful Archangel Raphael to stand in front
of me. Please fill me with wholeness and good health. Help me heal the
wounds from the past. Please heal and restore every aspect of my being.
Thank you."

Pause silently, and see if Raphael has a message for you. You are likely
to sense the wholeness and unity he brings to your being, even if you do
not receive a specific message. When you feel ready, ask Gabriel to stand
behind you.

“I now invoke the mighty and powerful Archangel Gabriel to stand behind
me. Please bring me insights so that I may always walk in the light.
Remove all my doubts and fears, and purify my body, mind, and spirit.
Thank you.”

Again pause to see if Gabriel has a message for you. Once you have done
this, experience the different energies tour archangels around you.
Although they provide you with completely different energies, each is an
aspect of the Divine Consciousness. Naturally, as human beings, we tend
to visualize the archangels as powerful beings, probably giant-like, but
otherwise much like us, draped in gorgeous robes, surrounding and
protecting us. It makes no difference how you perceive the archangels.
The important thing to remember when performing this ritual is that you
are experiencing the divine.

Enjoy the feelings of peace, security, and bliss. When you feel ready,
ask the archangels for help, guidance, and protection for you, your
family and friends, your community, country, and the entire world. You
will experience the response in different ways. You may feel as if a
flash of electricity has passed right through you. You may notice a
distinct change in the temperature of the room. You may experience a
sense of knowing that everything you have asked for will be granted.

Enjoy the comfort and security of the archangels’ company for as long as
you wish. When you feel ready to return to the everyday world, thank each
of the archangels in turn, starting with Gabriel, and following with
Uriel, Michael, and Raphael. You will sense each one leaving. When you
feel ready, take a few deep breaths and count from one to five. Open your
eyes and carry on with your day. You will feel invigorated and full of
energy after this ritual.

Not to put too fine a point on it but isn't this either Christianity or
Judaism?

no, it isn't.
It's an aspect of spirituality.
Christians aren't the only ones entitled to subscribe to angelic belief.

the topic was the archangels, not God, not Jesus, and not Moses or any
other old fart from the old testament.

happy now?

If we let angels in I know the weasels will quit en masse, and not just
the rabid ones.

Nevermore (If the cats aren't happy, no one is happy)
if your cat isn't happy, you better do something quick.
they'll slit your throat in your sleep.

My mom has a cat that is a demon in disguise. That thing has jumped off
the top of her trailer and landed almost on top of her head!!

If she has to get up in the night and my mom doesn't immediately comply,
the cat will begin by walking along the dresser and knocking off every
item she can move with her paw.

If that doesn't raise my mom, the cat will sit on her chest and start
smacking her in the face. At first, it is gentle. A love tap. But the
taps get harder and soon, the claws come out. My mom gets up by then,
fearing just how far that stupidassed cat will go.

Not if they ever want the olives restocked in the liquor cabinet
(closet, really...okay, room)
yeah, I got one of those liquor cabinets too.
It's my kitchen cupboard where the food should be, but isn't because it is
sitting on the microwave cabinet, where the microwave should be but isn't
because it is on the kitchen counter.

From what I've read of Gardner and Crowley and suchlike, most of what they
did was Christianity or Judaism, too. I guess it still counts as
witchcraft of a sort, and I suppose they must have been able to reconcile
it with the bits of Christianity and Judaism that prohibit witchcraft.

We're all forgetting that paganism and the likes thereof, including
witchcraft, druidry, etc. all predate Christianity.

I think it was their concept, instead of the other way around
