On this day July 14 in the year 1798 the United States Congress passed the
"Alien and Sedition Act.
Thus making it a Federal crime to publish false, scandalous or malicious
writing about the United States of America.

I just wonder where those two guys drew their inspiration from?

"Why should any man be allowed to buy a printing press and disseminate
pernicious opinions calculated to embarrass the government ?"
*Vladimir Ilich Lenin* (1870 - 1924)

"It is the absolute right of the state to supervise the formation of public
opinion"
*Joseph Goebels* (1897 - 1945)

On this day July 14 in the year 1933 the national government of Germany
outlawed all optical parties except the NAZI party.
This was perhaps their version of the Patriot Act done in the guise of
Home Land Security.

"My country right or wrong"

"The end justifies the means"
